Admin automation for wholesale, freight and distribution

Written by Autonome. Updated 5 November 2026.

How do I check proof of delivery dockets faster?

Let a Gadget read them first. Autonome's Delivery Docket & POD Verifier picks up each new docket from your OneDrive or Google Drive folder and checks that it's signed and that the quantity and docket number match. The good ones go straight to accounts. The rest come back to you with the reason, so you only look at the dockets with a problem.

Checking dockets is the kind of job nobody minds doing once and everybody minds doing dozens of times a week. It's also where disputes start, because an unsigned docket is an invoice you'll struggle to collect. We'd rather a Gadget look at every one than a tired person look at most of them.

  • Only the problem dockets need your attention.
  • Overdue invoices and open jobs in a brief before 8:00 am.

Getting the dockets in one place

The only setup is a folder. Drivers or the warehouse save docket photos and scans to one OneDrive or Google Drive folder, the admin connects it once, and the Gadget reads anything new. If your dockets currently arrive by text message, email and the glovebox, that folder is the one habit worth changing.

From there, supplier bills go through the same ABN and GST check as everyone else's and wait in Xero or MYOB for approval, and the Morning Cashflow & Ops Brief puts overdue invoices and open jobs in front of you before the phones start.

Questions

Where do the dockets need to be saved?

In one OneDrive or Google Drive folder that your admin connects. The Gadget reads anything new that lands there.

What counts as a problem docket?

A missing signature, a quantity that doesn't match, or a docket number we can't match. Each one comes back with the reason.

Can it check new trade customers too?

Yes. The Inbound Lead & ABN Enricher checks a new customer's ABN and GST status and adds a note in HubSpot once you approve it.

Do drivers need a login?

Only if they run Gadgets themselves. The flat plan covers up to 50 staff, so there is no per-driver fee either way.
