I’m Alister Rutter, an integration architect and hands-on technical lead in Melbourne. I spent fifteen years connecting business systems that were never designed to talk to each other, and Autonome is where that work ended up.
I’ve worked across GCP, AWS and Azure, with Cloud Run among the tools I’ve used, and I attended the Google Cloud Summit in Sydney in 2018.

- Forward Deployed Engineer, Autonome Solutions (Nov 2025 – Present): Designed and runs the integration architecture behind Autonome, and led its move from integration agency to platform (see the 2020–2026 timeline).
- IT & Security Lead, Cadmus (Nov 2024 – Nov 2025): Managed the end-to-end ISO 27001 certification process, deployed company-wide device management and a zero-cost VPN on Cloudflare WARP, reduced software spend by removing redundant SaaS apps, and built automations for HR, Marketing and Tender teams.
- Integration Engineer, Autonome Solutions, self-employed (Nov 2021 – Nov 2024): Ran a technology consultancy for full-stack, low-code and white-label builds, including CommsMobile as Project Manager, Technical Lead and UX Designer.
- Pre Sales Engineer, CompNow (Jan – Nov 2021): The technical partner for sales executives, supporting solution development, support documentation and SOWs, and co-hosted the public webinar SecurID: Risks from Remote & Hybrid Workforces.
- Support Manager, then Group Platform Support Manager, Equiem (Feb 2016 – Jan 2021): Trained and managed customer service professionals globally out of the Makati office, ran regular security audits, and built automation between systems. Awarded Legend of the Year (2017, 2019) and Trust Award (Nov 2018, Q2 FY19).
- Earlier Career (2011 – 2016): Technical Support Officer at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers and Services Coordinator at Cititec.
